Baby Lessons
Guided sessions with parent and baby in the water develop trust and introduce your baby to water skills that can be built on.
Child Lessons
Small groups are taught in a range of classes to suit all abilities, from beginners through to improvers and beyond.

Aiming towards Stanley 1, 2, 3 and Octopus 1
The start of your aquatic journey with AquaSafe. Children will learn basic principles of buoyancy and travel whilst gaining the water confidence required to learn to swim.
Maximum class sizes will depend on the children and their requirements. All children will be wearing armbands and/or back floats.
Max 8-10 swimmers
Aiming towards Stanley 4 or Octopus 2 & 3
Children will be confident in water and happy swimming with their faces in the water. They will enter the class still in aids and will continue to develop their leg action, body position and arm action to enable them to remove their aids and swim small distances unaided demonstrating basic arm action.
Max 10 swimmers
Aiming towards Goldfish 1, 2 & 3
Having established the basics of swimming, children will be able to swim a minimum of 10m. Swimming lengths, they will be introduced to correct breathing techniques and will continue to work on their arm action, all whilst maintaining the correct leg action and body position. Sculling, handstands and various entries will also be introduced.

Aiming towards Angelfish 1, 2 & 3
We will now build on their knowledge and develop their technique further on all strokes over longer distances swimming a minimum 2 lengths at a time. Children will start to swim in clothes and learning early survival and rescue techniques.

Aiming towards Shark 1,2 & 3, Dolphin awards & high distances
Able to swim a minimum of 200m, these swimmers will have excellent technique in front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke and a good technique in butterfly. They will continue to refine their strokes to enable them to maintain their technique over longer distances. Tumble turns will be taught and they will develop their survival and rescue skills.
a survival and rescue training programme specifically created for young people. To join, children must have a minimum STA Angelfish 3, a Swim England Stage 6 or be able to swim a minimum 50m on all strokes with a good technique.
A fun-packed programme that offers something for everyone; from lifeguarding skills and first aid, to boogie boarding, ocean awareness, distance, sports skills and health and wellbeing.
