The following terms explain how our swimming lessons operate and what you can expect when booking with us.
By enrolling in lessons with AquaSafe Swim School you agree to the terms below.
Our courses usually run for 6–8 weeks. Lessons run during school half terms. We take scheduled breaks during:
When bringing your child to or collecting your child from poolside, please ensure that shoes are removed or blue overshoes are worn.
Children must not enter the water before or after lessons unless accompanied in the pool by an adult member of the leisure club.
Children should be collected promptly at the end of their lesson.

At Everlast Fitness Sports venues, there are no spectator areas on poolside.
Parents should wait in the café area during lessons and return to collect their child afterwards. Members may use the gym or pool as normal during lessons.
We follow the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) International Learn to Swim Programme.
Awards are presented every other course following ongoing assessment.
The cost of £2.50 for badges and certificates is automatically added to the course fees for award courses. These usually occur in courses ending at Christmas, Easter and Summer.
All lesson fees must be paid in advance.
AquaSafe Swim School reserves the right to refuse entry to swimmers whose fees remain outstanding.
Lesson fees can be paid by direct bank transfer of direct debit. Direct debits are collected automatically via GoCardless.
Payments are taken one week before the start of each course.
When enrolling, you will receive a GoCardless link to authorise automatic payments.
Re-enrolment usually takes place 1–2 weeks before the end of the current course.
You will receive an email notification when re-enrolment opens. Swimmers are automatically re-enrolled to secure their place.
Parents who have not yet completed their GoCardless setup must do so before the payment due date.
If payment is not received by the start of the course:
New swimmers
If you change your mind before a course begins, cancellations must be made by email to adele@aquasafe.org.uk with at least 24 hours’ notice.
A full refund will be issued minus a £10 administration fee.
Existing swimmers
If you wish to cancel future lessons, two weeks’ notice must be given before the start of the next course.
Refunds are not available once a course has started.
If AquaSafe Swim School needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible via email or social media.

AquaSafe Swim School will not be liable for failure to deliver lessons due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
If a swimmer misses a lesson for any reason, the lesson is forfeited.
Credits or alternative lessons are not normally provided.
In exceptional circumstances, credits may be offered at AquaSafe Swim School’s discretion.
Swimmers and parents are expected to behave in a safe and respectful manner at all times.
AquaSafe Swim School reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a swimmer from lessons if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
In such cases, refunds will not normally be issued.
For safety and progression reasons, the instructor’s decision regarding lesson activities, swimmer ability, and movement between classes is final.
Swimmers may be moved between groups where appropriate to ensure the best learning environment.

Parents/guardians and adult swimmers must inform AquaSafe Swim School of any medical conditions, allergies, or relevant health information when registering and whenever changes occur.
This information is required to help ensure participant safety during lessons.
Participants should only attend lessons if they are fit and well and free from contagious illness.
AquaSafe Swim School may update health guidance where necessary in line with public health advice.

Images will only include swimmers whose parent or guardian has provided consent.
