Terms and Conditions

Welcome to AquaSafe Swim School. Here is some useful information regarding how we operate.

Course Dates
Our courses run for between 6-8 weeks at a time. We run through all half terms and May Bank Holidays as normal and break for 2 weeks at Christmas, 2 weeks at Easter and the whole of August. Credits or alternative lessons are not given for absences.

Dropping off / Picking up Children
When entering the poolside to bring your child to their lesson, please ensure that you either remove shoes or use the blue overshoes. Children are not permitted to enter the water before or after their swimming lesson unless accompanied in the water by an adult member of the leisure club.

Spectators
Everlast Fitness Sports venues – there are no spectator areas on poolside so parents need to return to the café area for the duration of the lesson and return to pick their child up at the end. In the Bromborough club you can watch lessons via the TV in the café.

Badges & Certificates
We follow the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) Award Scheme which is an international learn to swim plan. The awards are lovely and really engage the children. These are awarded every other course following ongoing assessment and there is a charge of £2.50 which is automatically added to the fees of the award course, these are the courses that end at Christmas, Easter and summer.

Lesson Fees
In venues where there is a club membership to gain entry, non-members are welcome to participate in our lessons subject to an uplifted non-members rate for lessons. All fees must be paid in advance. AquaSafe Swim School reserve the right to refuse entry to any swimmer whose fees are outstanding.

Payments
Fees for lessons will be automatically collected in full via Direct Debit one week prior to a course starting using the services of GoCardless. On enrolling, you will be sent a link to take you to the registration page of GoCardless for you to authorise the automated collection of fees.

Re-enrolments
Re-enrolments take place approximately 1-2 weeks before the end of the current course. You will be emailed when re-enrolments take place and your child will automatically be re enrolled so they don’t lose their place. On receipt of the re-enrolment email anyone not yet registered to Go Cardless will need to arrange payment before the due date.

Late Payments
Parents paying late for their lessons are still required to pay for a full course but children may NOT be permitted to swim until fees are paid in full and their place will not be guaranteed. There will be a late payment fee of £5.00 added to any outstanding fees once the course starts.

Course Cancellation and Refunds
New swimmers – If you change your mind and wish to cancel a course you must do so via email to adele@aquasafe.org.uk prior to commencement of a course giving no less than 24 hours’ notice for a full refund, subject to a £10 administration fee.
Current swimmers – If you wish to cancel you must email adele@aquasafe.org.uk providing 2 weeks’ notice prior to the commencement of the next course.
Cancellations made during a course will not be due a refund.

Lesson Cancellations and Credits
In the event of AquaSafe Swim School needing to cancel a swimming lesson, we will aim to provide as much notice as possible via email and on our social media sites. An alternative lesson will be offered where possible. If an alternative lesson is not possible a credit will be applied and will be automatically added to your next invoice.

Force Majeure
We will not be liable to you for failure to perform any of our obligations if the venue is required to close by a force majeure event (meaning any cause beyond our reasonable control including without limitation, acts of God, war, insurrection, riot, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, fire, explosion, flood, theft of essential equipment, malicious damage, strike, lock out, weather, third party injunction, national defence requirements, acts or regulations of national or local governments, including pandemics.)

Please note if we are unable to run sessions due to any of the above accounts will be credited but refunds will not be possible.

Absences
If a swimmer is absent for any reason, they will forfeit that lesson. Credits and alternative lessons are not offered in this instance. For extenuating circumstances we may offer credits towards a future course at AquaSafe Swim School’s sole discretion.
