Dear Parents
I write to inform you about what we are doing and plan to do in the coming weeks in relation to the coronavirus outbreak. AquaSafe Swim School, along with the STA (swimming teachers association) and Swim England are continuously monitoring Government and Public Health advice relating to the coronavirus.
Currently, there are no plans to cancel our swimming lessons but we would ask that you also follow the current advice and if you or your child has a high temperature or a new continuous cough that you stay at home for 7 days and DO NOT come to lessons. During the swimming lessons we will no longer allow children to drink from the water fountain so please send your child (Improver level upwards) with a water bottle to every lesson.
The guidance we have received from Swim England is that water and the chlorine within swimming pools will help to kill the virus. It is important, however, to ensure that everyone visiting our pool follows the latest hygiene advice. DW Sports Fitness First have increased the cleaning within the changing rooms and around the club and have replaced the blue role with antibacterial wipes.
If anything changes and we are told or advised to suspend lessons, I will email all parents and update social media platforms to inform you,
Many thanks for your cooperation
Adele Busow
